Now the dust of political turmoil coming generally after 5- years has settled down & again Nitish Kumar has mounted the saddle of governance of Bihar .He has got the mantle of chief minister ship of the state against tremendous odds & onlooker like me were sceptical , whether he will be successful or not in political hustings .My fingers were crossed as on daily basis,day in & day out political pundits giving their view points , against or for , whether Mr Kumar will touch the tape of winning post or not . All the political analyst & columnist worth their salt were circumspect & tried their best not to look partisan doling out their views against Naredra Mody vis-a-vis BJP., so always remained ambivalent in giving their judgements. This was a fight of David Vs Goliath where 2 or 3 choppers were pitted against 15 or 16 choppers hovering in the sky of Bihar . Premier Narendra Mody addressing 26 mammoth public meeting in Bihar delivering punch lines of satire & sarcasm holding no bar of decency . It was a spectacle to be remembered !
Mr Nitish Kumar was seeking the people's mandate for 3rd time with a different ally this time named Lalu Pd Yadav of 'jungle raj fame'..Priviously he allied with BJP for 2 terms, lampooning Mr. Lalu Pd Yadav's R.J.D as opposition party bringing them on their knees & now allying with them & fighting B.J.P. as their opponent . In between lot of political dramas happened for which it will be superfluous to go in detail . But with the skill & fineness, job of new alliance was done by Mr Nitish Kumar was peerless on the political chess board of the country . It is unfathomable if Sonia Gandhi & Naredra Mody become political allies on national firmament or Mamta Banerji & communists ally in West Bengal or Ms Jailalita & Karunanidhi do a political tango in Tamil Nadu , but Mr Nitish Kumar accomplished mission impossible in Bihar with great fineness & again mounted the saddle of power with aplomb . How ,it is to be examined !.
Mr Nitish Kumar has the training of an engineer & if an engineer becomes the player of real politic , he metamorphises in a lethal element . I have never seen a person in my five decades of political awareness & knowledge , a person who was not a rabble rouser for a long period ,a trade unionist ,a political activist following a particular philosophy or a unquestioned cast leader become a political leader in his own right & now people see in him as a challenger to ultimate political crown of the country with no controversy attached . Really it is a rare phenomena !.
